Placed in the only window in the basement of my home, which sits beneath the deck behind the house.
The deck overlooks a steep ravine, filled to the brim with flora and fauna, especially in the Spring season.
I often sit outside on the deck in the evenings, getting stoned and just swimming in the sound, but this recording offers an opportunity to hear the entire ecosystem of the ravine waking up as the sun slowly rises upon it, which is also usually what I hear when I finally go to sleep after a long night in my studio.
